The Cervix
(by Parents, for Parents)

In this video, the SHE+ Foundation explains the Cervix - a body part too often misunderstood.   The cervix is the small opening between the uterus and the vagina. Basically the little doorway between them.  For parents and caregivers - understanding the cervix matters. It is part of how we explain menstruation, pregnancy, and reproductive health accurately.   Without fear or confusion.   The kids in our lives deserve real answers, and it starts with us learning, too!

The Cervix
(by Teens, for Teens)

In this video, the SHE+ Foundation explains the Cervix!   The cervix is the small opening between the uterus and the vagina. Basically the little doorway between them.  The cervix is tiny most of the time, but during childbirth? It dilates like - 10 centimeters. It lets period blood flow out, helps sperm get in if you’re trying to get pregnant, and it’s what opens up when someone gives birth.
